Champagne René Schloesser

The story of Champagne Schloesser begins in the early 20th century, when René Schloesser left Luxembourg for Champagne in search of a better life. There he met his wife Lucie Coutelas. In 1929, in the midst of an economic crisis, they decided to produce their own champagne. It started modestly with just 1,000 bottles a year, but after the liberation in 1945, production grew. In 1950, their daughter Suzanne married Jean Tribaut, giving birth to the Champagne Tribaut-Schloesser brand name. Today, the estate is run by the fourth generation, Sébastien and Valentin Tribaut.

Champagne René Schloesser is loved worldwide for his finesse and elegance.

Tradition and craftsmanship since the 20th century.

Champagne Tribaut-Schloesser's vineyards cover 25 hectares, located in the communes of Romery, Cormoyeux and Fleury la Rivière. The vineyards benefit from clay soils and south- and southeast-facing slopes, which is ideal for growing Pinot Noir and Chardonnays grapes. This location contributes to the quality and character of the wines. The house has a strong focus on preserving the terroir and respecting traditional winemaking techniques, which is the basis for their distinctive champagnes.

The secret of this champagne lies in the respect for the terroir.

Vinification at Champagne Tribaut-Schloesser is meticulous and traditional. 10% of the wines mature in large oak barrels (foudres), which adds to the complexity and balance of the champagnes. After primary fermentation, the wines are aged sur lie for 36 to 48 months, creating rich aromas and a fine mousse. The result is a range of elegant, well-balanced champagnes appreciated worldwide for their quality, craftsmanship and excellent value for money.

Traditional vinification for pure champagne expression.
