Domaine Saint Romble, part of Domaine Fournier Père et Fils, has a rich history dating back to the 5th century. The estate is named after Saint Romulus, better known as Saint Romble, who saved the city of Sancerre from attackers. The vineyards lie along the path Saint Romble once walked, from his home in Subligny to the village of Saint-Satur, where he founded a monastery that later became the Abbey of Saint-Satur. For generations, the estate was passed down from father to son. Domaine Saint Romble is known for wines with finesse, elegance and great ageing potential, carefully produced according to age-old traditions and respecting the unique characteristics of the soil and climate of the Loire Valley.
