Viven Brewery is a gem in the Belgian beer landscape. It all started in 1999, when Willy de Lobel turned his passion for beer into a local brewery. His brews, under the name 'Kapel van Viven', were soon a hit. In 2003, Tony Traen took over the torch and reinvigorated the brewery. Together with his wife, Krystle, they experimented with different styles and flavours. The core idea? Applying the Belgian art of brewing to non-Flemish beers.

Tony and Krystle Traen, the driving forces behind the brewery, have been passionate about Viven for more than 20 years. Did you know that, Krystle is one of the few female brewers in Belgium? She is responsible for the flavour and production of the various beers in the range She composes the recipes and brews the first test batches in the Dam kettles. When a new beer is tasted and approved by Krystle, the production moves to the Proefbrouwerij in Lochristi to brew larger quantities. Her passion for brewing and keen sense of taste ensure that each Viven beer offers a unique taste experience.

Today, Viven Brewery is a household name in the world of speciality beer. The brewery combines traditional brewing techniques with modern innovation, creating a wide range of beers. From classic Belgian ales to modern IPAs, there is something for every beer lover. Viven's beers are characterised by their complex flavour profiles and high quality. Thanks to their surprising beers, the brewery has already received numerous prestigious awards, including the World Beer Award and the European Beer Star.
