dMente

Description
dMente -

The complexity of this wine appears quickly in the nose: dark ripe fruit, liquorice and minerals combined with balsamic and thyme aromas. Silky on the palate with very ripe tannins, a perfect blend. A long finish where notes of dark chocolate and hazelnut emerge.

Description

The soil and microclimate create a wine with unique characteristics, a Pago wine. At this artisanal family-run Bodega, the grapes are traditionally picked and selected by hand. The wine is aged for 12 months in American and French oak barrels.

The Denomación de Origen (D.O.) Castilla La Mancha, located in central Spain, is a vast Old World region with an exciting new story. A story of quality wines with unique character traits. Winters are bitterly cold and summers are hot, the sun shines 12-14 hours a day. Rain is scarce, so the vines are widely divided to allow each plant its share of the small amount of water that falls. There is one advantage due to Castilla La Mancha's challenging climate, only a few vineyard pests or diseases can survive, allowing grapes to grow disease-free in an ecological way. Castilla La Mancha is the largest wine region in all of Europe (450,000ha).
