Description

Domaine Desom, Pinot Blanc, Grand Premier Cru, from the second smallest country in the European Union, Luxembourg. As small as the country's surface area is, so great are the wines the country puts forward...

Located on the Esplanade in Remich, leaning against the cliff overlooking the Moselle, is Domaine Desom, the winery, which originated in the early 20th century, has become a household name in the region thanks in part to the fact that the winery has remained within the same family all these years.

Initially dealing only with a wine wholesaler, the family realised the potential of the Luxembourg vineyard and soon made the decision to vinify its own wines.

In the years that followed, many things changed inside and outside the winery and the winery grew steadily. Today, the winery has 18 hectares of its own soil and vinifies grapes from as many as 40 hectares from surrounding farmers...  The terroirs benefit generously from a microclimate and the orientation of southeast to southwest slopes to produce wines with refined finesse and elegant freshness.
