Description

Domaine Vallis Petra, Vacqueyras, Sous la Robe; We invite you to come with us to the south-east of France where the Rhône valley is located. Located in the territory of Vacqueyras, which stands for stone valley; is a small winery called Vallis Petra, which stands for rocky valley... This winery is headed by Nelly; a passionate and highly skilled winemaker who has been practising the craft for 25 years. In 2007, Nelly inherited the winery from her grandparents and adopted the precision with which her grandparents carried out the craft...

The vineyard's subsoil is mainly limestone soil which consists of rocks, red and brown clay. The vineyard is located at an altitude of about 120 metres.

With love and care for the earth, the vineyard has been in certified organic farming since 2010. This involves organic tillage on the estate such as using natural organic fertilisers, naturally maintaining the right soil values and balancing biodiversity. This requires a lot of extra work and lower yields. However, the satisfaction of caring for the earth cannot be expressed in yields
