Esprit d'Aliénor

Description
Esprit d'Aliénor - Unfortunately, the harvest was somewhat small, but the vintage was absolutely miraculous. Despite the surprising weather conditions until the beginning of the summer, the grapes were able to reach an absolutely exceptional level of ripeness thanks to the abundant sunshine until the beginning of autumn.

Description

Esprit d'Aliénor originated in the vineyards of the Chatonnet family. These vineyards are among the most famous in the region... They are located at the crossroads of the appellations Lalande de Pomerol, Saint-Emilion and Montagne Saint-Emilion. Here the family has been growing the right bank's best grape varieties for years: The Black Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec.

Each parcel is harvested at optimum ripeness, so the grape is always perfectly flavoured which is unmistakably reflected in the wine... After this, the grapes are vinified individually using the most appropriate techniques. The wines are then delicately aged in underground cellars with architecture unique to the region.

Esprit d'Aliénor consists of 2 grape varieties; Cabernet Franc (10%) and Merlot (90%). The Cabernet Franc is a popular grape variety that mainly produces fresh, fruity wines. The Merlot is an early grape variety and is harvested first of all blue grape varieties. The Merlot mainly produces soft wines with bright notes of dark red fruits like cherries and dark berries.
