Description

The Las Ninas Sauvignon Blanc is a wine with a rich history in addition to its surprising flavour. The estate was created in the late 1990s. One day, while travelling around the world, three French families set foot on Chilean soil for the first time. There, they fell under the spell of the Colchagua Valley, south of Santiago...
The adventurers were captivated by the local terroir and even decided to live there! Here, they finally decided to follow their dream of becoming winemakers. They moved into a beautiful house in the heart of Apalta: the Casa Patronal.
As a tribute to their daughters and wives, the three fathers decided to name the vineyard Viña Las Niñas, which means the girls' vineyard.
The girls - las niñas - threw themselves into the work on the estate with passion and enthusiasm. So much so that the vines were christened in their honour! Three years later after hard work, the first bottles left the cellars with a quality comparable to the best other wines in the region.
In 2021, Joseph Helfrich, a passionate winegrower from the French Alsace region, also fell under the spell of this vineyard and decided to buy it. In order to keep the tradition alive, Las Niñas is still run by one family with the ambition to introduce the world to the beauty and richness of the wines from the Colchagua Valley.
