Description

The vineyards of Le Valeureux are located in the Languedoc-Roussillon region and are planted against steep, stone slopes. These terraces are called 'Clapas' here and are situated at about 160 metres altitude at the foot of the Larzac mountains. The vines are relatively young and planted on clay and limestone soils. The vineyards face east and west and thus benefit from the mildest sunlight. Surrounded by woods and shrubs, in a garrigue from which the wines derive fragrant Provencal aromas such as thyme, rosemary, juniper, sage. All this makes for beautiful, fresh, expressive wines.
