Manchester Signature

Manchester Signature - One of the country's most awarded gins; made with local dandelion and burdock root and ten other specially developed botanicals including orange, lemon, liquorice and ground almond. In the nose we have nice round citrus tones with a classic undertone of juniper. In the flavour, this is clearly reflected with subtle hints of dandelion and burdock root. The aftertaste is creamy with a delicate sweetness of liquorice.

Manchester

It all started at 1.30am on a wet and cold February evening in Manchester. As she sat alone across the room, he spotted her and offered to buy her a drink. Her response was sweet and simple, "a G & T" please. They spent the next hour talking about their world travels to their favourite foods. Oh and not forgetting their love of gin. They were already extremely proud of how far they had come after their humble beginnings. But now all the way, since Manchester Gin won its first gold medals in international industry competitions a few years ago and is now winning many medals at all the major competitions year after year.

Description

It started with a 'G&T

It all started at 1.30am on a wet and cold night in February in Manchester. As she sat alone across the room he spotted her and offered to buy her a drink. Her response was loving and simple "a G&T please". They then sat for hours talking about their world travels to their favourite foods. Not to mention... their great mutual love of gin.

All this was the start of a great line of gin that today is presented under the name 'Manchester'. They were already extremely proud of how far they had come after their humble beginnings. But now all the way, since Manchester Gin won its first gold medals in international industry competitions a few years ago, and is now winning many medals year after year at all the major worldwide competitions.

The 'bee

Not many people know that the bee is the symbol of Manchester. This symbol was developed during the Industrial Revolution because it embodied the work ethic of Mancunians at the time when Manchester was leading the way in manufacturing. Many organisations that have their roots in Manchester use the bee within their branding such as the famous Boddington's and the University of Manchester. When you walk around the city you will see the bee on all sorts of displays such as lampposts, dustbins, signs, buildings and in bars and restaurants. The bee in the logo is their modern interpretation of the "worker bee" symbol of this beautiful city.
