Mar de Ons Barrica

Description
Mar de Ons Barrica - The flagship wine of this winery is a white wine made in French oak barrels, where it is left to ferment for at least six months. This long ageing time gives it its unique character. The wine is only made in years with a good harvest.

The wine has a straw yellow colour with a slight green tinge. It is clean and bright. The nose is medium-intensity, with notes of aromatic herbs, vegetables, bay leaf, rosemary, brushwood, light balsamic, white flowers and stone fruits. The wood is well integrated.

The taste of the wine is well balanced, with good acidity. It has notes of flowers, plants, minerals and a slightly salty finish.

This wine is a perfect match with fish, shellfish, salads and poultry. It can also be drunk as an aperitif or dessert wine.

Description

Aguiuncho

Bodegas Aguiuncho is a winery in Galician Rías Baixas, in the Salnés Valley. This valley is the largest vineyard area in the Rías Baixas wine region.

The winery was founded in 1999 by Manuel Troncoso Poceiro and his son Manuel Troncoso Prieto. Their dream was to make and market quality wines with an eye to the future and technology, but without losing the perspective of artisan winemaking that has traditionally been passed down from father to son in this family.

The winery is technologically very well equipped and currently has a production capacity of 150,000 bottles. Bodegas Aguiuncho's wines are a faithful reflection of Galicia's culture and land. The land, climate and grapes give the wine its most characteristic nuances, and the knowledge and experience of the winemakers forges its character.

Albariño is a grape variety that has long been recognised as Galicia's gold. It is the region's favourite grape variety and its most illustrious ambassador. Made from Albariño grapes, Bodegas Aguiuncho's wines are characterised by their fresh, fruity flavour and mineral character. They pair perfectly with fish, shellfish and other seafood.
