Recanati Special Reserve

This wine is made from a blend of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from our Kadita vineyard in Galilee but also with 16% of Merlot which was harvested in our vineyard in Kibbutz Manara. The two vineyards are planted at an average altitude of 800 metres above sea level. The cool climate prevailing in this region and the stony, well-drained soil provide ideal conditions for growing these noble grape varieties.

Description

The Recanati special reserve is developed from a blend that varies from harvest to harvest. Nevertheless, it is always based on Mediterranean and classic Bordelaise varieties. Once the right blend has been assembled, the wine is returned to wooden barrels. The wine is then aged in these for a further 18 months. With fascinating aromas of black fruits, sage, chocolate, eucalyptus and cloves in a lush palette of ripe berries, spices and velvety tannins. Finally, the wine has a complex finish with lots of length in which the flavour notes continue to surprise you.
