Sonsierra Blanco Fermentado en Barrica

Description
Sonsierra Blanco Fermentado en Barrica - Beautiful light straw colour. Elegant and complex in the nose as a result of maturing on its own peel in wooden barrels. Aromas of pear, peach, white flowers with toasted nuts and vanilla in the background. Silky and full in the mouth.

Description

The winery is located at the foot of the Cantabrian Mountains, in the upper Rioja region and adjacent to the Ebro River. Bodegas Sonsierra has a total of 570 hectares of vineyards, where vines are grown that are on average 20 to 130 years old. The Cantabrian Mountains to the south of the vineyards provide a unique microclimate ideal for viticulture. The mountains help to isolate the region, which has a softening effect on the climate. It also protects the vineyards from the strong winds that are typical of northern Spain. Bodegas Sonsierra combines the traditional method with the latest technologies. Sonsierra is located in the oldest and highest area of the Rioja Alta, and sustainable viticulture takes place in natural areas dating back to Roman times.
