Description

The name Allan Scott is synonymous with wine! As one of the first independent winemakers established in Marlborough in 1990, Allan Scott Family Winemakers have made a name for themselves in this beloved region! Allan has almost 40 years experience in the wine trade, making him one of the most experienced people in Marlborough when it comes to growing, making and selling wine. In 1975, Allan and Catherine bought a piece of land in Marlborough as pioneers. Subsequently, when the first independent winemakers began to establish themselves in Marlborough, Allan and Catherine were able to be part of this new era in the New Zealand wine industry.

In 1990, they launched Allan Scott Wines. Allan remembers it well. "We were one of the few to form the first wave of independents," he says. As a result, the Allan Scott winery is a trendsetter and frontrunner in Marlborough. In addition, Allan Scott is also known as 'the Marlborough Man', he has written a book with this same title. In other words; Allan Scott is the wine label from Marlborough!
