Pago Casa del Blanco

When the winery Casa del Blanco was founded, they received the Protected Geographical Indication: "Vinos de la Tierra de Castilla" (wines from the land of Castile). However, they have always had the vision to obtain "del Pago". This is the highest status a winery can get and there are only a few of these in Spain. Comparable to the 'Grand Cru' status from France. After years of hard work, they succeeded!

Award winner - International Citadelles du Vin 2021

Proud of the new Gold Medal! For the international Citadelles du Vin 2021 competition the Pilas Bonas wine won gold.

Every year, 50 top tasters from all over the world gather in Bourg (Bordeaux, France) to select the best wine. More than 1,000 wines from 30 different countries take part in this competition. The aim of this competition is to appreciate the diversity and quality of high-quality wines from all over the world.

This year, the Pilas Bonas 2020, a blend of Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, won the gold medal in the white wine category. It also received a special mention as the best-rated wine of all the wines tasted from Spain. The wine reflects the philosophy of winemaker Antonio, a wine made with respect for the environment and the vineyards. Pago Casa del Blanco is 1 of 20 D.O.Pago wineries in Spain, this certification is comparable to Grand Cru status.
