Saget La Petite Perrière Sauvignon Blanc

A flavoursome Sauvignon Blanc from the Val de Loire! In the glass, a bright, pale yellow colour. The typical aromas of Sauvignon Blanc are dominated by floral aromas with hints of boxwood, complemented by fruit notes of peach and mango. The palate is lively, rich and fruity, with a lingering finish of lime and mineral notes coming from the Loire's clay and limestone soils.

Description

The grapes for this wine come from a single vineyard in the Val de Loire. Great care and attention is taken during harvest; half of the grapes are picked by hand. An initial selection in the vineyard ensures that only the grapes that have reached the desired maturity level are retained. The grapes are then taken to the cellars for a short, cold maceration before fermentation before pressing and fermentation. Maturation on fine lees lasts about 3-4 months before bottling in early spring.
