Pago de la Sonsierra Reserva

Description
Pago de la Sonsierra Reserva - An intense ruby red colour. In the nose there is an explosion of dark chocolate, sultanas, eucalyptus, roasted coffee and cream. Full and silky on the palate with a very long finish.

Description

The winery is located at the foot of the Cantabrian Mountains, in the upper Rioja region and adjacent to the Ebro River. Bodegas Sonsierra has a total of 570 hectares of vineyards, where vines are grown that are on average 20 to 130 years old. The Cantabrian Mountains to the south of the vineyards provide a unique microclimate ideal for viticulture. The mountains help to isolate the region, which has a softening effect on the climate. It also protects the vineyards from the strong winds that are typical of northern Spain. Bodegas Sonsierra combines the traditional method with the latest technologies. Sonsierra is located in the oldest and highest area of the Rioja Alta, and sustainable viticulture takes place in natural areas dating back to Roman times.
