WoW! Wine Spectator; the world's leading wine authority, has announced that Allan Scott Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough 2020 has been named the #23 wine in this year's list of the 'Top 100 Wines'. The full list of the Top 100 Wines can be found online at top100.winespectator.com.
'This year's list is a diverse group, ranging from emerging wine labels and regions to traditional estates exploring new directions,' said Thomas Matthews, Executive Editor, Wine Spectator. 'We are delighted to present this year's Top 100 wines and for our readers to enjoy them. "
Through blind tastings by the editors of Wine Spectator, these top 100 wines were selected from over 15,000 wines! The selections are based on four criteria: quality (represented by score), value (represented by price), availability (based on the number of cases made or imported into the USA) and, most importantly, the 'X-factor': a convincing story behind the wine. And that is what Allan Scott has!
Wine Spectator's Top 100 list has been an annual highlight since 1988, featuring the best wines of the past year, wineries worth watching in the future and the producers and wines that Wine Spectator's editors are most enthusiastic about.
The complete Top 100 list will appear on top100.winespectator.com and in the December issue of the magazine. The printed issue will be available on newsstands from 21 December.
